Life, Goals, and the Grind

The Journey Begins Here

This is how it all started…

While I believe I am doing well with setting goals and sticking to an execution plan in my job, over the past couple of years, I’ve started to struggle to hold myself accountable to the same standards in my personal life. To make myself feel better, I began making excuses like, “I’ll go back to the gym next week or next month,” or, “It won’t matter if I eat this junk food; it’s only once in a blue moon.”

Years ago, Jocko Willink said something along the lines of: “You have to realize and accept that all your excuses are lies to make yourself feel better about taking the easy road.”

I couldn’t agree more, but as a soon-to-be father, who I believe needs to be the example of what good looks like, making excuses can’t be an option.

That’s why I created a platform to hold myself accountable to my goals while sharing my progress with others who might also be looking for the inspiration to ‘just get started.’ After all, starting is often the hardest part.

    I did it…

While it is still not a finished product, I am happy that the first layout is done and that I can now start working on filling this website with content.
